History

Aged & Updated to Perfection

Where better to open the world’s first and only bourbon-centric hotel than in the Bourbon Capital of the World? Naturally, we found a beloved (but long abandoned) building that once served as the town’s social epicenter and reimagined it for bourbon lovers.

History

Bardstown’s Architectural Gem

The building’s design was front page news in the Bardstown Kentucky Standard, which noted that while it was Modernist in character, it featured several Historicist details, including colonial lamps on the exterior and brick veneer with iron grillwork, to create an exterior that blended traditional and modern.

History

A Local Landmark, Reimagined

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, our Modernist building dates back to 1970, when it opened as the Holiday Inn Bardstown. It quickly became “an important and unique place in the life of the community,” hosting countless weddings, banquets, and business meetings.
